The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law in March 2010 and requires large employers to provide affordable healthcare coverage to full-time workers as of January 1, 2014. In preparation for the implementation of the the ACA, the NRCPDS looked into how participant direction will be impacted by the new legislation. The issue brief was authored by Policy expert, Lucia Cucu, Center FMS Lead, Mollie Murphy, and Center Director, Kevin J. Mahoney in April of 2013. An addendum was added to the brief in January 2014.
